I don't know about you, but I made a resolution that I was going to start taking better care of myself and that started with me taking more advantage of Sunday's and going makeup free and not putting anything in my hair. My hair, ughh lets talk about my hair. She was begging for moisture....so was my poor face. I just looked and felt so dull. Maybe it's the winter blues. Soooo, I decided to take matters into my own hands this past Sunday and create my own healthy, non toxic, non chemical hair mask....and let. me. tell. you. My hair feels sooooo much better with more body and life! Yes girl, life! I also took full advantage of us having a literal CBD candy shop for my face store and gave myself a treat by doing our CBD infused, superfood Tribe Beauty face mask.

Can I just say, I felt like a brand new woman after doing both.....like, I just did a shampoo and a "how to make your face feel like a babies bottom" makeover commercial with a full on glitter dress on good. Yeahhhhh, that good!

Not sure if it was the CBD infused local honey or the CBD infused coconut oil or the milk rich in fat that did the trick for my hair BUT the combo of all 3, did WONDERS! This didn't weigh my hair down at ALL and just zapped away all my split ends. Sunday Self Care just got a whole new meaning! If you want to try the hair mask see the deets below. You can thank me later ;)

CBD Infused Hair Mask

-----Recipe created by yours truly----

1 cup of good full fat milk (I used organic valley's whole milk)

1 heaping tablespoon of our Victory (local) CBD infused honey

1/2 teaspoon of Just CBD's Coconut oil (sold here, duh)

(double recipe if you hair is on the thicker side and long)

Warm the milk to a non boiling point, warm enough to melt the honey. Pour in the honey and whisk until fully incorporated.

Put on an old t-shirt, one you don't mind getting dirty in. Now, this is where it gets a bit tricky BUT IT'S WORTH IT! I literally just bent over the tub, poured the milk and honey all over my hair, ensuring that every strand got soaked and I wrapped up my hair in a bun and let the mask sit for 20 mins.

While I was waiting, I also did our Tribe Beauty face mask, in.cred.ible. Wow! When the 20 minutes is up, shampoo and towel dry. While my hair was still a bit damp I rubbed in the coconut oil, focusing on my ends. Let your hair dry naturally and viola! Your hair will thank you for this. Pinkie promise!

We all know chocolate is ONE way to a woman's heart or a man for that matter. So you must try this CBD infused chocolate lava cake....WHAT. Yes I said it....

You know you're going to have to try and make this, right? What 2 things go better than CBD and Chocolate. Am I right?! This deliciousness is a super simple way to show the one you love that you made a fancy as s#!* lava cake from motha effin scratch! Throw some vanilla ice cream on that bish and enjoy it! Deets below. Make sure to tag us on Instagram when you make it ;)

Start to finish: 20 minutes

Yields: 4 cakes

Approximate dosage: 5mg per cake*

---Recipe adapted from Brett Konen of Leafly---

1 cup unsalted butter, plus more for buttering the ramekins

1 cup bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped

2 full eggs plus 2 egg yolks

1/2 cup granulated sugar

20 mg of Sugar & Kush Vanilla CBD Tincture Oil (sold here, of course)

2 teaspoons flour, plus more for dusting the ramekins

Preheat your oven to 450˚F. Place the butter in a bowl and microwave to melt. Add the chocolate to the hot butter and stir until the chocolate melts. In a medium bowl, combine the two eggs, two additional yolks, sugar, and your CBD tincture and beat until light and thick, about one minute. Add the egg mixture and the flour to the melted chocolate and beat until fully incorporated.

Butter and lightly flour four 4-ounce molds or ramekins (make sure not to miss any spots, or the cakes will stick). Tap out the excess flour. Divide the batter among the molds. (At this point you can refrigerate them for up to three hours if you’d like; just bring them back to room temperature before baking.)

Place the ramekins on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until the cakes have puffed up a bit, the tops are barely set, about 7–9 minutes. The cakes should still jiggle slightly when shaken. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for one more minute. Put a plate on top of the ramekin and (using a potholder to protect your hand) carefully invert the cake onto the plate. Let it sit for 10 seconds, then lift up the ramekin. Enjoy immediately!
