Watching and being a part of history right now is just unreal. Our world is in shambles and I don't know about you but so is my anxiety. I personally have been taking CBD oil every. single. day. for the past 9 months and it has done WONDERS for me! BUT I had to recently up my dose to more mg because, you know, Rona fears.

Now, let's dive into some brain power...

Did you know that we all have an Endocannabinoid System in our bodies? Endocannabinoids, also called endogenous cannabinoids, are molecules made by your body. They’re similar to cannabinoids, but they’re produced by YOUR body. Yes, you read that right, we produce cannabinoids in our own bodies!

------------> SO that is why cannabis and its properties are soooo good for you. <---------------

Now, every body chemistry is different, so no EC system is the same. This is why some people will get different effects from either cannabis or CBD. One CBD product will work amazingly for one person but another person might not get the same effects. This is why we cannot stress enough that all CBD products are NOT created equal and it is important to talk to your CBD dealers here at the Honey Pot so we can try to find the one that is best for YOU and your needs!

So now that you know a little about this system let's dive into the different receptors that your EC molecules will attach to.

CB1 - receives THC molecules; these receptors are concentrated in the brain, central nervous system, and scattered throughout other bodily tissue. They mediate many of the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis.

CB2 - receives CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC molecules; these receptors are found in peripheral organs and cells associated with the immune system throughout the body. The highest concentration of these receptors is in the gut.

Your gut is central to your nervous system. The nerves in your gut communicate with the brain in your central nervous system, relaying the health of the gut and immune system. This nervous system can also produce neurochemicals, like dopamine and serotonin, which can impact mood and mental health!

So, CBD can help your stress and anxiety levels because the CBD receptors are primarily found in your gut and your gut literally communicates with your brain. So when CBD is taken, the molecules adhere to your CB2 receptors and kicks cortisol (bad stress hormone) to the curb and dopamine (happy hormone) and serotonin (happy chemical) are naturally produced!

Now lets all get that CBD oil and chug the heck out of it.

(well not really, you would literally sleep for dayyz)

I don't know about you, but I made a resolution that I was going to start taking better care of myself and that started with me taking more advantage of Sunday's and going makeup free and not putting anything in my hair. My hair, ughh lets talk about my hair. She was begging for moisture....so was my poor face. I just looked and felt so dull. Maybe it's the winter blues. Soooo, I decided to take matters into my own hands this past Sunday and create my own healthy, non toxic, non chemical hair mask....and let. me. tell. you. My hair feels sooooo much better with more body and life! Yes girl, life! I also took full advantage of us having a literal CBD candy shop for my face store and gave myself a treat by doing our CBD infused, superfood Tribe Beauty face mask.

Can I just say, I felt like a brand new woman after doing both.....like, I just did a shampoo and a "how to make your face feel like a babies bottom" makeover commercial with a full on glitter dress on good. Yeahhhhh, that good!

Not sure if it was the CBD infused local honey or the CBD infused coconut oil or the milk rich in fat that did the trick for my hair BUT the combo of all 3, did WONDERS! This didn't weigh my hair down at ALL and just zapped away all my split ends. Sunday Self Care just got a whole new meaning! If you want to try the hair mask see the deets below. You can thank me later ;)

CBD Infused Hair Mask

-----Recipe created by yours truly----

Ingredients:

1 cup of good full fat milk (I used organic valley's whole milk)

1 heaping tablespoon of our Victory (local) CBD infused honey

1/2 teaspoon of Just CBD's Coconut oil (sold here, duh)

(double recipe if you hair is on the thicker side and long)

Directions:

Warm the milk to a non boiling point, warm enough to melt the honey. Pour in the honey and whisk until fully incorporated.

Put on an old t-shirt, one you don't mind getting dirty in. Now, this is where it gets a bit tricky BUT IT'S WORTH IT! I literally just bent over the tub, poured the milk and honey all over my hair, ensuring that every strand got soaked and I wrapped up my hair in a bun and let the mask sit for 20 mins.

While I was waiting, I also did our Tribe Beauty face mask, in.cred.ible. Wow! When the 20 minutes is up, shampoo and towel dry. While my hair was still a bit damp I rubbed in the coconut oil, focusing on my ends. Let your hair dry naturally and viola! Your hair will thank you for this. Pinkie promise!
